My Family

Hi. My name is Tom Donney and I have been working on and driving old SAAB two strokes since the late sixties. I have owned too many SAABs to mention and currently own about forty older SAABs. I also sell late model SAABs and I carry a good selection of "Pre-enjoyed and Vintage SAAB's!!"

Left to Right: Tom, Patti, Sarah, Chris, Luke, Nate

Tom--For the past 20+ years has coached football at both the college and high school levels in his 'spare time'.  Tom is a certified boxing coach at the Fort Dodge Boxing Club. He also enjoys hunting and fishing although his real love is finding old Saabs. His dream day consists of "playing" with his Saabs, slowly restoring his favorites. When he can't be playing with his Saabs he can be found at Fort Dodge Transmission, the transmission and auto repair business that he started in 1980. He still can be found at an auto auction purchasing a newer Saab to put on the lot of Tom Donney Motors.

Patti-- Patti, mother of 3 and retired special education teacher, spends her days working at Fort Dodge Transmission, selling cars at Tom Donney Motors and managing Fort Dodge Banquet Center, which she and Tom own. When she's not there you can usually find her outside playing with her flower beds, which sometimes resembles more of a weed bed!

Luke-- Resides in Cedar Rapids and works at the nuclear power plant in Palo where he's been employed since his graduation from Iowa State in electrical engineering. Luke will be married in August 2010 to Lisa Beenken. She will graduate from Iowa State in December with an Accounting degree.

Nate-- Put his college pursuit of political science and criminology on hold to pursue the military.  He is currently at Fort Bragg in North Carolina going through Special Forces training. He hopes to finish his college degree after he completes his training in June 2010. He tends to follow in his dad's footsteps with his love of the outdoors and also working on cars.

Sarah-- Graduated from UNI in May with a degree in electronic media, got married 2 weeks later and is now in graduate school for mental health counseling.  She lives in Cedar Falls with her husband, Chris, who just completed his Air Guard training in December 2009 and is working on completing his degree in construction management.
